This was a good book that held my daughter attention from the beginning to the end I’m looking forward to reading more.

In "Pippin's River Rescue" by Julia Seaborn, we are introduced to a spunky and spirited poodle who loves to take walks along the river with his owner. At the river, there are many friends that he loves to play with including a possum named Blossom, a family of little cygnets, and a family of dolphins who live in the river. Normally it's a fun day, but on this day something goes seriously wrong. I found "Pippin's River Rescue" a great and informative read for children. It sends an important message to younger generations regarding protecting wildlife and the environment. The illustrations are beautiful and bright and fit perfectly with the storyline. Richard Hoit's work is amazing and will capture the young reader's eyes easily. Julia Seaborn has done a wonderful job with this book and is sending an excellent message to future generations. I can't wait to read more of her work.

The eye-catching illustrations draw readers into Pippin's world, where he and his friends embark on a thrilling mission to save baby dolphin Rocket. Will they make it in time? The interactive questions at the end not only engage children but also reinforce the story's beautiful environmental message. Plus, the word/picture match adds an educational element, teaching new vocabulary and fun facts about dolphins.

We had so much fun reading this animal adventure. The characters are cute and the story is well written. There's also an important message about conservation and eco systems which will make this a great book at home or at school.

This is a very cute book with a message. I love the fact the story went from having fun at the river to learning something very needed. Books are a great way to teach children valuable lessons. I also loved the illustrations. Much needed for all libraries and schools.

This was a cute children’s book about Pippin and the effects of littering near and in the river that affects Pippin’s friends. At the end, there are also some comprehension activities and word/picture matching that children can practice with.

Pippin's River Rescue was an awesome book for both adults and children. It teaches the reader how to look after how we are treating nature and the damage that trash and stuff can cause to animals. I thought the illustrations were cute as well and the game and information at the end of the book helpful.

The art in this book is adorable, my Daughter was totally entranced by the rescue and we loved the message the book was presenting. We look forward to more of Pippin’s adventures!

Editorial Review - The Wishing Shelf - April 2024
I very much enjoyed this sweetly written 'dog' adventure. It's the story of Pippin, a cuddly black poodle who gets to enjoy a fun walk along the river. There were a number of elements of this story I particularly enjoyed. Firstly, it's well written with plenty of speech which, as we all know, young children love. And there's not an editing error insight! Secondly, I like the suspense in the second half of the book. I think most young readers will find that exciting and will be on tenterhooks to see what happens. And, finally, I like the 'nature' message. So, if you happen to be on the lookout for a smartly plotted 'animal' adventure, you can't go far wrong with "Pippin's River Rescue". Young readers will enjoy rooting for the cuddly black poodle - and the environmental message will go down well with grandparents, parents and schools.
