A really cute story that teaches children about friendships and how it’s ok that we may not be friends with everyone. The text is easy to read and follow. I love that there are multiple animals throughout. I enjoyed it.

If you’ve never heard of Pippin the poodle, now would be a perfect time to get acquainted. In fact, that’s exactly what this curious canine does when he sets out to meet some new friends.
Among them are a lizard, a pig, some ducks, horses, and a koala bear. While conversing with his new friends, Pippin learns some interesting facts about each one. Later, Pippin meets up with his friend Hamish the sheepdog. Together, they get into some doggie mischief.
A sweet story with a fun-loving and frolicsome protagonist, Pippin’s Country Adventure is upbeat, positive, and highly readable. Children will love the vivid illustrations as they get to know a variety of animals.
At about 30 pages, the story is long enough to engage young readers without over-taxing their attention spans. The story is conveyed in age-appropriate vocabulary that’s easy to follow. Twelve “Fun Questions” are included at the end. Also some interesting information on a bird that’s featured in the story that’s common to Australia.
Pippin’s Country Adventure is a delightful blend of adventure, exploration and education. Besides. Who can resist that sweet furry face? A winner!

Nice illustrations add to the fun characters and story. Love the educational side and the little bonus at the end of the book. Children will come back to read or listen to this book many times. Looking forward to more books by this author.

It's an adorable story about Pippin, the poodle, whose day is full of fun and adventure. Beautifully written and gorgeously illustrated, this book will make for a fabulous gift and the perfect bedtime story. It's also an educational read, as it will teach children some differences between animals and birds, or what their specific food is. I love that the author also thought about the book's owner, and there's a special place where a child can write their name. Both my niece and I loved the story. Recommended both to boys and girls!

This is a beautifully written book that takes you on an adventure with a poodle. I loved the different animals that he meets on his journey. The counting aspect of the book was a nice touch

This story is interesting on a number of fronts. I really liked that in the digital edition as you tap forward the line you are reading is enlarged a bit. Then there are counting exercises, visits with a variety of animals and some snippets of information about them, a bit of kindness through sharing, some naughtiness in going for food on the table and a reading comprehension and retention quiz at the end.

Wonderful story about poodle dog who goes on adventure to meet different animals
The book shows that not everyone has to be friends and that’s perfectly natural and fine.

I like how simple the language used in the story, easy to understand and fun to read. I think incorporating dialogue in between narration is a well done move as it provides more 'lively' and interactive plot.
Brownie points earned! Why? Because i love it when there's a lot of factual yet trivia-ish content. It was delivered subtly alongside the storyline so the young readers wont feel overwhelmed by it.
Kudos to the editor? (the one in charge of the book formating) and the illustrator! The editor organised the lines neatly and in smaller chunks, making it easier and manageable for kids to read. Not too many nor too little words per page. Just nice.
Next, the illustrations are on point, clear drawing style and good colour scheme,making it visually pleasing.
Recommendation:
Good for kids aged 6 to 12 years old as they could polish their language proficiency, imagination, creativity and memory via leisure reading.
P/s: The questions section at the end of the story is a good addition tho. Kids can read and polish their memorization skills without getting pressured❤️

Another great book! Pippin is going for an adventure around the farm where he meets all kinds of farm animals. I love the interactions he has with the animals and all his curious questions that make for such a good learning opportunity.

Pippin’s Country Adventure follows a spry poodle named Pippin that heads out on a fun filled adventure where he meets a variety of animals, learns something new from each of them, and gets to practice his counting skills along the way.
This lively children’s book deftly combines several educational aspects into a fun story that will delight young readers as it teaches them something useful. I enjoyed how counting was part of the story. It not only lets readers practice counting, but it allows them to also recognize the word for the number, rather than just showing the number on the page like many other children’s books. On top of learning to count, children will also get to learn a fun fact about each animal they encounter. All of this is told with simple language and vivid illustrations on each page that really captures the fun Pippin is having.
This is an educational picture book that will help readers with counting, teach them about animals, and will also help them with their reading comprehension as there are several questions in the back of the book that will prompt a good discussion about what happened in the book.
Pippin’s Country Adventure is an enjoyable kids book that I highly recommend for parents and teachers working on reading comprehension as there are a lot of fun things that happen in this book.
